​DUO was an idea brought about in 2021. After working side by side for several years, navigating the challenges of the pandemic as small business owners, and comparing notes about where we saw ourselves professionally in the following years we realized that we had aspirations of creating a space of our own TOGETHER, and so the search began.

 

In 2022, after a year of searching and planning, countless tours of commercial properties and frustrating contract negotiations, we decided to rent a salon suite space in Vienna intending to stay for just one year while we continued our search for the perfect location. Throughout this journey, we encountered numerous roadblocks, toured many spaces, learned valuable lessons about the dos and don’ts of salon ownership/management, planned a wedding (Aylin), and welcomed another baby (Jess). Two and a half years into our original “one year at a salon suite” plan, we finally discovered a gem on Maple Ave. in Vienna and signed on the dotted line!

 

DUO represents not only our partnership but also the special bond formed between stylist and client. We are deeply grateful for the loyalty, encouragement, support and advice from our clients, which made this space possible. We cherish the time we spend with you and hope you will love the welcoming environment we’ve created for you to relax and feel your most beautiful.
